At Ayr you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact while growing your career alongside a company positioning itself for long-term success.Job SummaryThe Retail Inventory Supervisor reports to the Inventory Manager and is responsible for the day to day operation and oversight of the back of the house operation including the processing room. This role determines operational needs, maintains inventory control and menu accuracy, trains and leads dispensary inventory associates, and proactively solves processing and inventory related problems.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks with dispensary inventory associates while leading by example to increase efficiency, accuracy, and product knowledgeEstimates daily inventory requirements and pre-packaged product to meet projected needsPrepares and packages orders for customers and patients with a strong attention to detailResponsible for back of house organization, cleanliness and orderMaintains inventory control - cycle counts, communicate needs, processing, markdowns, destruction and removalHelps maintains pricing and photos and ensures accuracy for inventory offerings on menusEnsures audit complianceActive participant in the recruitment, interview and hire process of filling open positions in a timely manner based on store performance and volumeTrain employees in expected operational standards using appropriate tools such as SOP's, compliance audits, company and state policy and procedures.Set up a training calendar and ensure associate onboarding and new hire training completionManage continuous training and development with team members through training curriculums that provide consistency across all storesOversee direct reports performance and deliver team members' performance appraisals in partnership with management; collaborate on team member' performance management, succession planning, development of members strengths and improvement of weaknessesSupervise and assist management with direct reports schedules, time and attendance, leave requestsConduct investigations as necessary, coach team members on performance, attendance, violation of company and compliance policies, and carry through disciplinary actions, up to and including terminations, in partnership with management and HRProvide leadership, training, guidance and support to team members that fosters continuous learning and improvement in performance of the storeTake pride in the appearance of the store by ensuring all areas, including restrooms, are consistently clean, safe, and guest-readyQualificationsMust stay current and adhere to all policies and regulations of the state cannabis agency.Must meet age requirement as outlined by state cannabis agency.Able to pass all background checks as required by state cannabis agency.Able to accommodate scheduling that may include varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.EducationHigh school diploma/GED requiredExperience2 -3 years' experience working in inventory, logistics and/or a cannabis retail settingMinimum 1 years' experience supervising training, quality, and customer service in retailCompetencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude)Customer Obsessed : Dedicated to creating a remarkable experience for both internal and external customers; builds rapport and maintains meaningful and effective relationships creating trustful, authentic connections; viewed as a good listener and is easy to approach and talk to and is often in the know early in any given situation.Relationship Building : Viewed as a truthful individual who shares authentic and constructive feedback in a respectful manner in the spirit of being a force for good; builds mutual respect and trust by listening, learning, and acting with compassion to encourage others in discovering their genius; takes responsibility for mistakes and offers impactful solutions; recognizes personal strengths and weaknesses; seeks and openly welcomes feedback for continuous improvement and personal growth.Results Oriented : Empowered with the knowledge of their potential this person learns quickly when facing new problems; a relentless and versatile learner, open to change, analyzes successes and failures for continuous improvement, experiments and will try anything to find solutions that support an ecosystem of knowledge; enjoys challenge of unfamiliar tasks, quickly grasps the essence and underlying structure of anything.Functional/Technical Skill : Possesses functional and technical knowledge and skills to perform at a high level of accomplishment; understands how their job function supports being a force for goodDirect reportsThis person is directly responsible for leading the Dispensary Inventory Specialist team.Working conditionsThis job operates in a professional store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. This position requires weekends, nights, overtime as needed, holidays and open work availability. May require minimal travel. May be required to work outdoors and/or during inclement weather.Physical requirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
