Accountant Senior

Job Title

This position is responsible for preparing the journal entries, reconciliations and analyses of general ledger amounts, financial statements, and related schedules of his/her assigned entities. This position is involved in the preparation of schedules for the annual budget, five-year financial plan, and the financial audit where applicable.

Nature and Scope

The major challenges of this position are to work with his/her customers in response to financial issues; determine the source of problems and establish controls and monitoring systems that ensure accurate record keeping; to effectively institute change as directed; to operate within the time pressure of deadlines; and to respond to customers in a timely and effective manner. Other related duties and overtime may be required. This position does not provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education: Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university, or related equivalent experience. Health care experience is desirable.

Experience: Minimum three years of general accounting experience.

Computer / Typing: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
