Bradley County School-Based Master's Level Clinician The McNabb Center seeks a dedicated clinician to provide individual, family, and group counseling, advocacy, and mental health assessments within the Bradley County School System. Duties Conduct individual, family, and group counseling Provide advocacy, linkage, and referral services as needed Provide mental health assessments, as needed Participate in IEP and other school‑related meetings, as applicable Provide parent education Maintain appropriate chart records Interface professionally with school personnel and other agencies Conduct group sessions with children and/or parents Complete all documentation in a timely manner Uphold center policy and procedures, and CARF standards Job Purpose / Summary Functions as a member of a treatment team to plan, implement, and evaluate successful interventions for children and families. The clinician provides counseling that is adventure‑based and leads group processes and activities with identified children and youth. Summary of Position Serves as the primary clinician providing counseling/liaison services to a predetermined number of children, youth, and families in the Bradley County School System. Provides weekly individual and family psychotherapy to children and adolescents ages 4‑21 with a mental health diagnosis. Offers psycho‑social assessments, crisis intervention, emergency services, and agency linkage. Utilizes modalities such as DBT, CBT, TF‑CBT, ARC, PCIT, and Play Therapy. Typical Working Conditions / Environment Provides direct mental health services in the rural county school system. Reliable, predictable 40‑hour per week on site and in the community, with regular attendance. Job Duties / Responsibilities Provide individual/family psychotherapy for children ages 4‑18. Be present and ready to begin sessions at the appointment time. Reschedule any sessions that cannot be attended or that are missed or canceled. Communicate accurate information to outside agencies when needed. Ensure therapy contacts are completed each month, per program standards. Provide diagnostic psycho‑social assessments. Complete intakes and assessments within specified time frames. Coordinate assessments with the Assessment Team and Client Benefits. Provide intake coverage as directed by the program coordinator. Document all family/client participation in treatment planning. Communicate low referral volumes to Services Coordinator. Meet weekly with direct supervisor to discuss clinical and administrative concerns. Create and implement treatment interventions reflected in progress notes. Respond to flags and e‑mails within two business days. Respond to voicemails within 30 minutes. If licensed, sign non‑licensed clinicians’ treatment plans and provide clinical consult. Attend weekly/biweekly treatment teams with school personnel. Attend weekly treatment teams and staffing meetings with Services Coordinator. Attend school‑based meetings with school personnel and community partners. Complete all required clinical documentation per Center Policy and Procedure. Update treatment plans, crisis plans, consent to contact, DLA‑20, and admissions signatures every six months. Submit productivity summaries and logs per specified deadlines. Compensation Starting salary approximately $52,274 per year based on relevant experience and education. Schedule Monday‑Friday 8:00‑5:00 Travel Potential travel required to family homes or community locations. Equipment / Technology Complete electronic documentation. Basic computer skills for email, timekeeping, and EMR use. Qualifications Must have coursework or experience in cultural diversity, human development, etiologies and treatment of mental illness, substance abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and intellectual disabilities. One year of experience preferred. Experience working with children preferred. Training in Re‑Education Philosophy preferred or required to acquire during employment. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with an F endorsement (or ability to obtain) are required. Education / License Master’s degree in human services or related field with relevant coursework. Degree must be license‑eligible. Demonstrated competence in mental health service provision and leadership. F endorsement required to transport clients and maintain a dependable vehicle. Skills / Abilities Effectively counsel children and families. Present professionally and work within a team to plan interventions. Run and process groups with children and families. Interface with other agencies. Use non‑violent crisis intervention techniques. Exercise sound judgment under pressure. Empathic listening, flexibility, and adaptability. Effective communication and time management. Implement de‑escalation techniques as required. Physical capabilities: hearing normal, soft tones; close‑eye work; lift up to 50 lbs; frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching.
