Location:  Washington, MO (on-site, 100%)
Reports To:  Owner / CEO
Employment Type:  Full-time, salaried, exempt
Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience

Position Summary

Exit 11 Coffee is seeking an experienced, in-house Director of Marketing to lead and execute marketing across all channels of the business. Reporting directly to the Owner, this position is responsible for translating company vision into finished, on-brand marketing and for managing the day-to-day output of a small internal team and external vendors. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic oversight with direct execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enforce brand standards across all marketing materials and channels.
• Develop and manage the marketing calendar, including social media campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
• Oversee all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X), including content planning, posting, and community engagement.
• Manage the company website, email newsletter, and SMS/text marketing program to ensure content is current, effective, and on-brand.
• Direct content creation efforts, including photography, video, and reel production, in collaboration with internal team members and contractors.
• Plan and execute marketing strategies for new products, seasonal offerings, and drink launches.
• Oversee the design and production of marketing collateral, including menu boards, flyers, banners, signage, advertisements, and branded merchandise.
• Manage the development and production of product packaging and labels, providing creative direction and coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Monitor and manage the company's online reputation, including Google and Yelp reviews, Google Business profiles, and location photography.
• Support community events through promotional campaigns, event marketing, and branded materials.
• Lead and manage the marketing support team, including graphic design, social media, and external marketing partners.
• Leverage AI tools and technology to improve marketing efficiency, creativity, and overall performance. 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in a marketing role, including experience in a management or leadership capacity.

• Demonstrated experience marketing directly to consumers.

• Working knowledge of all core marketing disciplines: brand, content, social media, email/SMS, web, print, and events.

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and the ability to produce work directly, not solely direct others.

• Strong design judgment and the ability to evaluate and direct creative work to a high standard.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and team members simultaneously.

• Proficiency with, or demonstrated willingness to adopt, AI tools in daily workflow.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in quick-service restaurants, coffee, food service, or consumer retail.

• Experience directing outside agencies, vendors, or contractors.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Washington, MO. The role operates in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and requires the ability to manage shifting priorities.
