Job Summary: We're looking for driven, motivated, and customer-focused sales professionals to join our high-performing sales team.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively engage customers, build rapport, and uncover their needs through thoughtful questions and active listening.
• Deliver a consultative sales experience by confidently recommending sleep solutions that align with each customer's needs, preferences, and budget.
• Consistently work toward achieving and exceeding individual sales goals through strong product knowledge, effective communication, and disciplined follow-through.
• Take ownership of your sales performance by monitoring results, identifying opportunities for improvement, and applying coaching and feedback.
• Confidently communicate product value, address customer concerns and objections, and guide purchasing decisions while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
• Build lasting customer relationships through personalized service, proactive follow-up, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of our merchandise, promotions, financing options, and delivery processes.
• Utilize retail technology, including point-of-sale systems, CRM tools, tablets, and other required software.
• Demonstrate initiative, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to support store goals and uphold City Mattress's standards of excellence.
• Remain engaged, attentive, and responsive to customers throughout each shift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom to support a positive customer experience.

Compensation & Earning Potential:

At City Mattress, we believe in rewarding performance. Our primarily commission-based compensation structure offers motivated sales professionals the opportunity to directly influence their earnings through their individual results.

Our compensation package includes:

• Hourly base pay
• Commission on delivered sales
• Monthly bonus opportunities
• Annual sales performance bonus
• Uncapped earning potential

Location & Training:

We provide three weeks of in-person training at one of our store locations to ensure a strong foundation in our sales approach and customer experience standards. Following training, the new hire will "float" between multiple store locations to shadow experienced sales staff and continue hands-on learning for well-rounded exposure to our culture, operations, and sales approach. After the initial few months, a store assignment will be determined based on business needs, candidate location, and overall fit. Flexibility is essential, and candidates must have reliable transportation and the ability to commute to various store locations as needed.

Additional Qualifications:

• Previous sales experience required; 2+ years preferred, particularly in consultative, high-ticket, or retail sales.
• Demonstrated success in a sales-driven or goal-oriented environment.
• Strong verbal communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to represent the City Mattress brand.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn retail technology, including POS, CRM, tablets, and inventory management systems.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work at multiple store locations within the designated region as business needs require.
• College degree preferred, but not required.
