Position Summary Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 Pay Grade: 10 As a Patient Flow Manager, you will lead a team of Patient Observation Associates, Patient Flow Coordinators, and Patient Transporters within a hospital setting, ensuring efficient patient flow and compliance with regulatory standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Understand and apply knowledge of basic patient transport concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics. Determine and explain dispatcher logic and transporter activities; monitor and supervise dispatcher activity. Coordinate patient transportation activities and services with other departments and develop service agreements as appropriate. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies including federal, state, JCAHO, OSHA, and CDC. Orient, train, and develop all levels of personnel such as dispatchers, trainers, transporters, couriers, drivers, and elevator operators. Assist the unit director in achieving financial objectives, ensure the department operates within budget, and control departmental expenses. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Management experience in a hospital environment and/or patient transportation. Analytical ability to interpret statistical data and distinguish trends impacting operational activity. Basic computer skills with Windows operating systems; ability to troubleshoot system problems and initiate internal or external resolution. Associate’s degree preferred.
