Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact in the lives of young learners as a School Psychologist supporting students from Pre-K through 3rd grade in a welcoming educational setting near Joliet, IL. This is an on-site, contract position tailored for a professional passionate about guiding the social, emotional, and academic growth of children at an early age.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist credential or license as required by the state of Illinois
- Proven experience with Pre-K students; experience with Pre-K to 3rd grade preferred
- Strong knowledge of childhood development and school-based intervention strategies
- Demonstrated skills in assessment, consultation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to working on-site; remote/virtual service delivery is not an option
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students in Pre-K through 3rd grade to identify needs
- Develop and implement interventions that foster academic, social, and behavioral success
- Provide insights and guidance during IEP/504 meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Deliver counseling and intervention services to support positive student outcomes
- Contribute expertise to multi-tiered systems of support within the elementary school environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school policies and state guidelines
