Summary of Job Duties:
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and modification of HVAC/R systems supporting medical, educational, and research facilities across the UAMS campus. These systems are critical to ensuring a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for patients, students, and employees.

This role responds to routine maintenance needs as well as urgent facility-related issues and emergencies, providing timely and effective solutions to support continuous campus operations.
Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED PLUS One (1) year HVAC/R installation and repair experience
  
• Technical degree in HVAC/R or related may be accepted in lieu of experience
  
• Valid Driver's License
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPA 608 Universal License
  

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC/R systems across campus facilities
  
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
  
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
  
• Respond to service calls, work orders, and emergency situations in a timely manner
  
• Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS) as needed
  
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service activities
  
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve facility-related issues
  
• Assist with equipment upgrades, system modifications, and special projects as assigned
