About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years - Telemetry experience - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Description: Mixed acuity unit with PCU, medical-surgical telemetry, and medical patients. Ratios are adjusted based on patient acuity. Must have experience in managing complex patient needs. Care for surgical pre-and post-operative patients, including ENT, general surgery, trauma surgery, and orthopedic surgery. Float to corresponding sister units may be required. Care may involve managing continuous bladder irrigation, complex medication protocols, and high-flow oxygen therapy. Requires solid color scrubs. Weekly schedule includes every other weekend requirement. Attention to infection control and isolation precautions is necessary. Unit documentation and medication management are performed using an electronic system. Ability to care for diverse patient populations across multiple age groups is essential. Continuous assessment and monitoring of patients' conditions is expected. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is important for patient care. Management of pain and administration of various medication therapies will be required. Expected to assist with teaching patients and families regarding health conditions and self-care.
