Field Service Technician
Sussex, WI (Direct Hire)
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join a growing industrial automation and controls company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, troubleshooting complex systems, and traveling to customer sites to support equipment installations and startups.
What You'll Do
- Perform system startups, commissioning, and technical support for automation equipment
- Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems and related hardware
- Provide onsite and remote customer support
- Assist with software updates, system testing, and end-user training
- Coordinate with customers and project teams during installations and service activities
What We're Looking For
- Experience in field service, industrial automation, controls, maintenance, or a related technical field
- Familiarity with PLCs, industrial networking, and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to travel approximately 40% throughout the year
