Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Perioperative Nurse PractitionerResponsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for the perioperative patient in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status). Perioperative preparation and postoperative clinical management is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members. This position reports to the Practice Administrator.Under the direction of the Practice Administrator, the Nurse Practitioner will:Assist physician in providing exceptional patient care and servicePerform patient exams, history & physicalsMaintain updated patient recordsOrder and analyze test results, consult with provider to create treatment plansAdminister treatments as directed by physicianComplete orders and charges efficientlyServe as a trusted resource for patients, offering guidance on their ongoing care, counseling, and critical conditionsJob Requirements:Advanced Practice Professional Degree in Medicine/Osteopathy/Nursing or Physician Assistant Professional DegreeFlorida medical license, DEA licenseMinimum 3 years' experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to complete required office tasks (order, notes, EMR records, charges etc.) in a timely mannerProficient computer skills and ability to navigate and operate EMR systemAbility to effectively manage time—expectation is for provider to begin office hours on time and to stick to the schedule throughout the dayEmployer strongly discourages the rescheduling of patient appointments with minimal prior notification to the office staff (i.e., less than 1 week notice) except for emergency situations.Employer expects all providers to treat patients, staff, physicians, and their peers with respect and professionalism.
