Respiratory Therapist - Days

Position Overview * Bonus : $6,000.00 * Departmen t: Respiratory Therapy * Schedule : 7am to 7pm Days Every 3rd weekend * Work Location : UAB St Vincent's East Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. * Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis. * Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition. Perform advanced respiratory care modalities. * Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome. * Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs. * Respond to emergency resuscitation team code. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: * BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. * Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. * Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Minimum Requirements: * Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
