A day in the role

Morning : Translate process requirements into robust control strategies. Draft control narratives, build PLC routines, and craft HMI screens. Configure SCADA points, alarms, and trends to give operators real-time visibility.

Midday : Bench-test logic and I/O, simulate sequences, tune loops, and validate interlocks. Hunt down anomalies and resolve them before they reach the plant floor.

Afternoon : Partner with operations, maintenance, and other disciplines to troubleshoot live issues. Provide hands-on support and training to operators and maintenance technicians so they can run and service equipment confidently.

Wrap-up : Capture changes with clear documentation—designs, revisions, and maintenance records—so the next improvement starts from a solid baseline. Keep an eye on new control technologies and practices to elevate system performance.

What you will do
