Job Title Case Management Section Front Office Supervisor Department: Department of Justice Classification: SUPERVISOR II Salary: $7,872.00 - $9,781.00 per month Posting End Date: 7/13/2026 Work Location: Telework (Hybrid). The position is also eligible for in‑person attendance when required at the Department of Justice headquarters in Sacramento or other designated locations. Responsibilities Supervise front office staff and manage daily operations of the Case Management Section. Coordinate with CMS managers, technical staff, and units such as the Legal Executive Unit, Legal Divisions, Legal Support Operations, Budgets, and Accounting to support the legal enterprise. Apply project management principles, business process development, data management, and reporting to improve workflows and service delivery. Develop and deliver training programs based on adult learning theories for staff and stakeholders. Manage state budget and fiscal processes, including IT software and maintenance contracts. Provide legal support knowledge across civil and criminal law procedures. Qualifications Minimum Qualification: See the Classification Specification for required experience, education, and knowledge. Familiarity with the OAG enterprise case management system (ProLaw), the reporting tool (Cognos), and integrated applications such as Microsoft Word, Hyperstyles, and Best Authority. Experience coordinating with CMS managers, technical staff, and legal units. Knowledge of project management principles and practices, business process development, data management, and reporting. Understanding of state budget and fiscal processes, IT software, and maintenance contracts management. Extensive experience in the legal field, including civil and criminal law procedures.
