Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist

The Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist (People Services & Culture) will assist with end-to-end biweekly payroll processing and day-to-day benefit support for employees across four locations (Pasadena, CA; San Diego, CA; Madison, WI; Verona, WI), and process off-cycle payrolls as needed. Responsibilities Back up payroll activities, including final pay for terminations and separation processing through ADP WFN. Create, maintain, and close out equity compensation checklists; route for timely completion. Manage the company’s equity plan and administer daily and quarterly equity transactions (new grants, stock option exercises, RSUs). Ensure equity processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Back up biweekly timecard review/processing and follow up with employees/supervisors. Maintain electronic equity filing systems. Back up benefits tracking/management; provide benefit support. Conduct audits to ensure employee changes and pay data are entered correctly. Provide HR system support, focus on process improvement, and support general HR/People Services tasks. Requirements 4 recent years of payroll & benefits experience. Associate degree. Ability to follow verbal/written instructions; maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical/organizational skills. Recent experience with ADP WFN (current version) and advanced Excel. Knowledge of wage and hour laws related to payroll. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong oral/written communication; ability to interact with others at all levels. Flexibility for extra hours during critical times; strong time management (independent and team).
