Research Technician II, Department of Translational Neurosciences (College of Medicine-Phoenix) The laboratory of Dr. Manish Jain at the College of Medicine-Phoenix is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Research Technician II to aid in a research project focused on G protein-coupled receptor biology to understand neurological disorders. The candidate should be detail-oriented, conscientious, able to follow instructions, and have the ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner verbally and in writing. Duties & Responsibilities Works under the supervision of the PI and perform day-to-day experiments of tissue culture, DNA, RNA, protein isolation/analyses, cloning DNA constructs, and mouse experiments. Record results in the laboratory notebooks or data folders. Communicate all results to the PI in a timely manner and plans for the follow-up experiments and troubleshooting. Participates in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, protocols, and data figures. Assist with the set up of standard laboratory operations. Organize and manage laboratory resources including research reagents and laboratory equipment. Facilitate the maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment. Assist with orientation and training of new lab personnel. Provides routine and technical administrative support to lab operations. Write and update standard lab operating procedures and protocols. Oversee RLSS compliance for all lab members. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner orally and in writing. Ability to set up and perform a variety of lab or field tests and operations. Skilled at recording results, making observations, analyzing data, and interpreting test results. Knowledge and experience in research (internship, independent study). Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required. Three (3) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field. Structural and Molecular biology experience. Experience with rodent surgery.
