Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
First-time travelers accepted.
Weekends and holidays required per unit needs.
Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
Scrub color: Caribbean Blue.


Description:
Telemetry RN position available for a night shift.
Candidate will provide care for patients with various cardiac conditions.
The role requires the interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias.
Experience with ER holding and telemetry is essential.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Typical patient diagnoses include congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, stroke, and COPD.
Special procedures include peritoneal dialysis and telemetry monitoring.
The unit is equipped with safe patient handling equipment.
Candidates should be proficient in the care and management of central lines, blood product administration, and non-invasive airway management.
Additional skills in wound care and the use of rapid response teams are beneficial.
The environment demands a strong adherence to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines.
Participation in patient care activities as assigned is expected.
