At least one year of professional clinical experience. Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology. Current CPR certification. Must hold certification as a Certified Clinical Credentialing Professional (CCC). Other requirements as determined by the client facility. They will teach patients how to make sounds, improve voice quality, and enhance oral or written language skills for effective communication. They also help individuals strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow safely. Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accord with physician orders. Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet therapy goals. Set realistic and achievable goals for communication and swallowing to support the patient’s educational, vocational, and social roles.
