Now Hiring: Company Driver (CDL A)

We're seeking a dependable, safety-driven Company Driver to join our team in Springfield, NE. In this role, you'll operate a commercial 18-wheeler transporting solid waste and recyclables between transfer stations and landfills.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer (18-wheeler) on designated transfer station-to-landfill routes
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical concerns
• Follow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and traffic laws
• Navigate highways, local roads, and landfill environments in varying weather conditions
• Maintain accurate documentation including driver logs, trip sheets, and weight tickets
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, landfill personnel, and internal teams
• Secure loads properly, operate tarping systems, and follow loading/unloading procedures
• Report incidents, near-misses, or safety hazards immediately
• Participate in ongoing safety training, meetings, and compliance audits

What You Bring

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
• 12+ years of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Experience with landfill or transfer station operations (preferred)
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
• Ability to safely maneuver in tight or high-traffic environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
• Frequent climbing in and out of the truck cab
• Comfortable working in environments with noise, odors, outdoor weather, and landfill conditions

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position with consistent routes
• Schedule varies based on route assignments and landfill hours
