Tool & Die Maker

Responsibilities Repair, maintain, and improve all tools and fixtures. Demonstrate proficiency with hand measurement tools. Assist technical services with machine repair, changeovers, setup, and operation as required. Safely operate all tool room equipment, including Bridgeport mill, lathe, surface grinder, etc. Assemble and disassemble tooling, dies, and gauges. Troubleshoot and resolve tooling problems. Work with various materials such as tool steels, plastics, aluminum, and copper. Acquire or possess personal tools necessary to perform job assignments. Read and interpret tooling drawings. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; journeyman certification and/or equivalent experience preferred.
