Assistant Web Press Operator - 12-hr Night Shift Front Half (7pm - 7am)

This position is for a 12-hour fixed front night shift (7:00PM to 7:00AM). This position is eligible for a $3/hr night shift differential The Assistant Press Operator will assist Press Operators with press make ready, operating, and maintaining sheet-fed or web offset printing press. Inserting packing sheets on plate cylinder to build up plate to printing height, fastening reinforcing bars to offset blankets, and installing plates and blankets on press cylinders, using hand tools and power tools, to achieve pressure required for printing Adjusts press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools Assist Press Operator by making necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully Skill to follow instructions to operate equipment safely and produce the desired product Ability to make adjustments to feeder and feed board (e.g., Skill in performing routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment under guidance of senior level Press Operators High School Diploma or GED required Requires minimum 2 years general knowledge of offset presswork procedures and materials The pay range for this role at the noted location is $20.39 to $31.03 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
