QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree Secondary Administration Certification Required At least five years of successful teaching experience Other alternatives as Board may approve REPORTS TO: Principal

SUPERVISES:

All staff assigned to the school. All other resource and service personnel while functioning in the assigned school. JOB GOAL: To relieve the principal of impediments and promote student educational well‑being.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in scheduling of classes and supervising extracurricular activities program. Assist in preparation of student schedules. Work with department heads; compile annual budget requests. Handle requisitions, inventories, record keeping, and receipt management. Coordinate transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services. Supervise student attendance monitoring and perform investigative follow‑up actions. Oversee conduct and disciplinary procedures, maintaining records. Assist parents, faculty, and student groups in advancing educational programs. Collaborate with principal in staff in‑service program and Community Awareness Program. Assist with textbook and supplies distribution and inventory. Collaborate with principal in student handbook preparation. Assist in general administration of the school and act as principal when absent. Maintain confidential records of special students and supervise IEP conferences. Coordinate in‑school suspension program. Assign extra duties to teachers as needed. Generate monthly dropout report for state department and assist with other state reports. Obtain substitute teachers as necessary. Perform other tasks assigned by principal.
