Logistics Coordinator

Grassland is growing—and we’re excited about it. Following the recent acquisition of a new business, we are expanding our operations and looking for a skilled Logistics Coordinator to help support this next phase of growth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in building efficient, scalable logistics processes.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and moving inbound and outbound products to our customers between suppliers, warehouses, and manufacturing plants efficiently and throughout the supply chain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up transportation needs for outbound and inbound products at multiple manufacturing facilities and off-site warehouses.
• Networking with multiple trucking companies to ensure on-time deliveries and low-cost rates.
• Negotiate freight rates with new and existing carriers when there are changes in the markets.
• Work closely with our manufacturing facilities and internal teams (customer service, purchasing and inventory departments) to ensure you can move all expected shipments based on their daily and weekly schedule, maintaining a 95% or better on-time delivery.
• Coordinate delivery appointments with off-site warehouse facilities.
• Enter freight confirmation sheets.
• Handle shipment delays or damage with carriers to resolve the issues.
• Handle A/P issues when discrepancies arise.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of trucking and transportation industry markets.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
• Excellent communicator who can interact daily with multiple departments, shippers and carriers.
• Ability to negotiate and solve problems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience in the dairy industry a plus.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma.
• 3 to 5 years of Transportation/Logistics experience, preferred.
