Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - PRN/Per Diem
Aspire Senior Living East Prairie, a premier skilled nursing facility located in East Prairie, MO, is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our interdisciplinary care team on a PRN/Per Diem basis.
About the Role:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Aspire Senior Living East Prairie, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing high-quality physical therapy services in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will work closely with our physical therapy team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, conduct patient evaluations, and provide interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function. In addition to your daily responsibilities, Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will also have the opportunity to mentor and educate our team members on best practices in physical therapy.
Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations to assess functional abilities and identify areas for improvement
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with physical therapists
Provide interventions, including exercise programs, stretching, and strengthening exercises, to improve mobility, strength, and function
Conduct treatment sessions, including physical therapy modalities, such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation
Document patient progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
Participate in discharge planning and educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and self-care techniques
Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and facility protocols
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
Current PTA licensure in the state of Missouri
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
Possess a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment
