Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

Provides diagnosis and treatment of patients within the scope of practice as defined by all applicable Federal, State and local laws, regulations, protocols, etc. and within the individual Advanced Practice Provider's (APP) particular clinical specialty area, licensure and competency level. Performs acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures as appropriate.

What You?ll Champion:

• Provide clinical oversight for a 10?12 bed ED Observation Unit, delivering 12?18-hour monitoring and care coordination
• Seeking experienced hospitalist APP (AGACNP or Physician Assistant) with 3?5 years of inpatient experience; ideal candidates thrive working independently in a fast-paced hospital medicine environment with rapid patient turnover, admissions, and discharges for low-acuity patients
• Support hospital operations and patient flow by providing coverage for ED holds and ED Observation (EDOP) patients
• Flexible 7-on / 7-off hospitalist schedule (Thursday?Wednesday) with 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. ? 7:00 p.m.)

  Minimum Education:
  • Masters Degree Nurse Practitioner Required or
  • Bachelors Degree Physician Assistant Required
  • Masters Degree Physician Assistant Preferred
  Work Experience:
  • 1 year Required
  Licenses:
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required
  Courses and Training:
  • BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and
  • Nurse Practitioner - board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification Upon Hire Required and
  • Nurse Practitioner - Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners Upon Hire Required or
