Cross-training opportunities can allow you to learn different sides of RISE, build your skills, and discover where you fit best.**What You’ll Get to Own**As a DSP, you'll help individuals with disabilities build independence, make choices, develop skills, stay connected, and live meaningful lives.Your day won't be spent doing everything for someone. Your job is to support people in doing as much as possible for themselves.Depending on your interests and availability, there are three ways you could make an impact:*Residential — Support Everyday Life* You'll work alongside individuals in their homes, helping with daily routines, meals, personal care, medications, household responsibilities, hobbies, and community activities while promoting dignity and independence.*Day Program — Build Skills & Create Great Days* You'll help individuals participate in structured activities, build social and life skills, work toward vocational goals, enjoy outings, and develop greater independence.*Community Off-Site — Get Out Into the Community* You'll support individuals while they're out doing the things that make up everyday life—shopping, recreational activities, social events, and other community experiences—while encouraging independence and keeping safety at the center.Interested in more than one? You'll also need a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur's license within 14 days of hire.This is an active, hands-on position. Depending on the program and individuals you support, you may assist with personal care, mobility and transfers, community activities, and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.Experience is great. The right attitude matters, too.
