Job Details Location: Fairmont, WV 26554 (Marion County) — West Virginia nursing jobs / Travel Nurse Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN) Start Date: March 1, 2026 End Date: May 31, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (weekends as scheduled) Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130 Unit: Cardiac Stepdown/Med-Surg (20 beds) — Cardiac Telemetry RN role Patient Ratios: Stepdown 1:3; Floor 1:5–6 Charting System: Epic (EHR) Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs Qualifications / Job Requirements Active RN license (must be valid at time of submission; WV license or multistate compact candidates welcome as applicable) BLS (AHA) and ACLS required Stepdown/telemetry experience required Experience titrating IV drips (heparin, insulin, Cardizem, amiodarone) Comfortable with cardiac telemetry and rhythm interpretation Proven ability to manage cardiac patients, including chest pain and arrhythmia management Experience with respiratory support modalities (CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen) preferred Must provide a copy of an unexpired driver’s license at submission Full disclosure of any licensing or disciplinary issues required at time of submission Must comply with the 50-mile radius rule for travel assignments Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care on a Cardiac Stepdown/Med-Surg unit as a Cardiac Telemetry RN Monitor, assess, and prioritize care for patients with respiratory issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, and chest pain Titrate and manage IV drips per protocol; ensure safe medication administration and accurate documentation Interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips; elevate changes promptly Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, nurse aides, and respiratory therapists Document thoroughly using Epic EHR; complete accurate handoffs and shift reports Participate in rotating weekend and holiday schedules as assigned Follow unit and hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality improvement initiatives This is an excellent travel nurse job for a dedicated RN seeking to expand cardiac and stepdown experience in a friendly, scenic community.
