• Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 required
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and student advocacy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom dynamics

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for students during instructional and non-instructional activities
• Support classroom engagement by accurately interpreting discussions, lessons, and peer interactions
• Serve as a bridge between students, teachers, and staff, fostering a supportive educational atmosphere
• Maintain accurate records of assignments and communications as necessary
• Collaborate with the educational team to address students' individual needs
• Participate in relevant meetings, trainings, and professional development as requested
