Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Des Moines, Iowa.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 21, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a vascular interventional radiology unit, requiring 12+ months of vascular/Cath Lab experience and active ARRT (R) certification.Details\n \n Invasive Vascular Service unit performing approximately 25 cases per day, primarily vascular procedures\n 4x10 hour day shifts totaling 40 hours per week\n Holiday rotation required, including 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays unless the unit is closed\n Call requirement of every 3rd evening and every 3rd weekend, from 7pm Friday through 7am Monday\n Single call team covers two campuses, with most emergencies occurring at the Level I trauma facility\n Required to float across campuses when needed\n Uses Epic EMR\n Requirements\n \n Active ARRT (R) certification required\n ARRT (CI or VI) highly preferred\n RCIS/CCI certification a plus\n BLS certification preferred\n Iowa Radiology license highly preferred; will consider candidates in the licensing process, if applicable\n Minimum of 12 months of vascular procedure experience in a hospital or medical center setting\n Minimum of 12 months of current interventional vascular/IR lab/Cardiac Cath experience\n Cardiac Cath Lab/CCL experience in a hospital or medical center setting required\n Peripheral vascular experience required\n Scrub, circulate, and monitor experience required\n Current or prior experience supporting Operating Room procedures required\n Level I trauma experience preferred\n Driver's license required for consideration\n Skills checklist specific to interventional vascular/IR lab/Cardiac Cath required\n Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, or executive within the past 24 months preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Primary duties include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during vascular procedures\n First-time travelers are welcomed for this position\n Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility per local radius policy\n Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) may be restricted from travel assignments in other markets within 12 months of separation\n Clinical phone interview pre-screening will be conducted from a 405 area code\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-740214.
