Job Title Project Executive Location Hawaii Classification Full Time – Exempt – Salaried Reports To Vice President Essential Responsibilities Manage financial administration, establish project goals and objectives, evaluate financial performance monthly, and provide accurate forecasting. Promote and develop “Smart Contracting” to maximize cash flow and meet reporting deadlines. Manage risk in accordance with company guidelines, seek new ways to improve operating returns, and resolve claims promptly. Preserve corporate culture and philosophies, mentor others, promote company mission and vision, and encourage employee growth. Participate in new‑hire recruitment, foster university relationships, and support employee referral programs. Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures. Lead business development initiatives, analyze market and client trends, and advance strategies aligned with the business unit. Evaluate project risk/reward potential (“Go/No Go”), use the “Proposing to Win” process, select project team and resources, and develop project approaches. Participate in proposal development, presentation processes, post‑award debriefing, and celebrate successes. Lead the GMP/Lump Sum process, adhere to pre‑construction contractual obligations, and comply with pre‑construction policies. Oversee daily project operations, monitor budgets, schedules, and profitability. Attend owner/architect/contractor meetings, monitor contract compliance, review and approve subcontracts and change orders, and ensure timely project close‑out. Maintain personal professional development, licensing, certifications, and registrations. Keep clients informed, develop effective relationships, service interim client needs, and maintain open communication. Engage in community organizations, promote employee involvement in civic activities, and support charitable causes. Maintain visibility with subcontractors, develop relationships, monitor buy‑out and negotiations, and strategize subcontractor selection. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 7–10 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager with a major general contractor. Strong computer skills, including familiarity with construction project management applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, required to interact directly with owners’ representatives, A/E teams, building departments, and other stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and building motivated teams. Highly developed project management finance skills. Moss is an equal‑opportunity employer.
