Director of Communications, Global Respiratory & Immunology

AstraZeneca seeks a Director of Communications to lead global integrated communications and patient advocacy for respiratory and immunology assets from Phase IIb through launch. The role encompasses strategic planning, narrative development, stakeholder engagement, digital deployment, and issues management across internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global communications plans across drug development phases and franchise milestones
- Build disease and asset narratives; produce press releases, Q&As, and spokesperson materials
- Collaborate with global/regional teams, media, and investor relations on stakeholder engagement
- Lead digital and social channel deployment using paid and organic strategies
- Establish relationships with patient advocacy groups and co-create collaborative programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 10-15 years global pharma/life sciences communications experience
- Proven strategic, content-rich program delivery in regulated environments
- Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and stakeholder perspectives
- Significant issues preparedness and crisis management experience for global brands
- Strong digital marketing and internal communications track record
- Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional influence ability
Compensation: $146,716.80-$220,075.20 base
