Bargaining Unit UUP Job Summary The Department of Clinical Laboratories, Blood Bank at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem Clinical Lab Technologist 2. The successful candidate will: Perform all aspects of Blood Bank testing, including but not limited to: ABO/Rh Typing, Crossmatching, Antibody Detection, and identification with appropriate follow-ups. Maintain quality control of equipment and reagents. Manage meticulous record keeping and utilize follow-up skills. Demonstrate flexibility as duties and responsibilities are not limited to the above position description. Required Qualifications New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or eligible to apply for licensure. Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Chemical or Biological Sciences. Preferred Qualifications ASCP certification.
