Evaluate patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing standardized assessments and observational methods.
Create customized treatment strategies that cater to both short-term goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing demands.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing personnel, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
Provide educational resources for patients and families to bolster progress beyond therapy sessions.
Support with sporadic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey.
Prepare precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Advance your knowledge and skills by engaging in continuing education and collaboration with peers.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based practice for varied age groups, coupled with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Ability to modify therapeutic techniques tailored to meet diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment alongside effective problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and related documentation norms.
