Position Details Job Title: Intensive Care Unit – ICU RN – Travel Nurse Travel Job ID: #1398001 Specialty: ICU – Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12‑hour night shifts Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Evaluate and monitor patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting. Document and provide physician‑directed care. Assess and implement patient care plans. Delegate tasks to other care providers as appropriate. Provide education and support to patient families. Perform basic bedside care. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication; report any adverse reactions. Order and evaluate diagnostic tests. Take samples for lab work, order corresponding lab work, and interpret reports. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting and recording electronic displays. Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing. Communicate patients’ conditions to family members. Requirements 1–2 years recent acute care experience. BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Physical/Other Requirements ICU Travel Nurses must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 pounds comfortably, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Nurses may encounter hazards from exposure to certain chemicals or infectious diseases and must be able to manage patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative. Compensation Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
