They are proof of our dedication to creating an inclusive environment that fuels innovation./ppA Little More About What You Will Be Doing/ppAs a member of the patient care team, Medical Assistants are responsible for positive patient relations, professional telephone communication, verification of patient information by interviewing patient and confirming purpose of visit. The Medical Assistant is also responsible to prepare the patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summary./ppDuties Responsibilities:/pulliGreets patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current medications and record in medical record./liliAssists with tracking and monitoring department specific data./liliExplains policies, procedures, or services to patients using clinical or administrative knowledge, based on scope of practice/liliLeads patient care flow and assist with monitoring CS-Link message pools and standard work./liliSets up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs./liliSweeps clinical areas to monitor inventory based on standard work./liliCleans/re-processes equipment and supplies based on standard work and department guidelines./liliAddresses patient, physician, and staff concerns and escalate accordingly./liliProvides assistance in QA measures for suites, including recording QC testing on designated equipment./liliMonitors their own workflow to identify opportunities for improvement./liliParticipates in daily huddles and staff meetings./li/ulh2Qualifications/h2h3Education/h3ulliHigh school diploma or GED required/liliGraduate of an accredited medical assistant program/li/ulh3Experience/h3ulli1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a medical office setting, ambulatory care facility or medical group required./li/ulh3Licenses/Certification/h3ulliBasic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required/liliCertification from Board approved Medical Assistant Organization preferred/liliCalifornia CPT I Phlebotomy License required for some departments and preferred for others./li/ul/div
