Franchise Business Consultant Commercial Cleaning Operations

JAN-PRO Development of Northern Illinois is looking for a Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) to join our growing team. This is a field-based position where you will build relationships with Certified Business Owners and their customers, help solve day-to-day challenges, identify opportunities for growth, and help our franchise owners succeed.

You wont spend every day behind a desk. Approximately 80% of your time will be in the field visiting customer locations, meeting with franchise owners, conducting account inspections, and providing hands-on support. The remaining time will be spent in our Burr Ridge office completing administrative work, collaborating with the team, and planning your territory.

Build Relationships

Develop strong, professional relationships with Certified Business Owners and their customers. Serve as a trusted resource and business coach to franchise owners. Proactively communicate with customer contacts to understand their needs and identify opportunities to strengthen the partnership. Help facilitate communication between franchise owners and customers when needed.

Solve Problems & Support Retention

Conduct proactive account visits and inspections to identify opportunities and potential service concerns before they become larger issues. Work with franchise owners to develop practical solutions to customer concerns. Handle difficult conversations professionally and work toward solutions that support both the customer and franchise owner. Think on your feet and use good judgment when unexpected situations arise. Help protect and grow customer relationships with a goal of maintaining 99% or higher customer retention.

Support Franchise Owner Success

Meet with franchise owners to discuss account performance, business goals, customer relationships, and opportunities for growth. Identify additional service opportunities that may help franchise owners increase revenue. Support franchise owners with customer onboarding, transitions, and offboarding. Help franchise owners understand and maintain JAN-PRO brand standards and expectations. Provide guidance and resources to help franchise owners operate successful cleaning businesses.

Stay Organized & Follow Through

Manage a schedule of account visits, inspections, meetings, and follow-ups. Maintain accurate franchise owner and customer records. Complete administrative responsibilities accurately and on time. Document inspections, customer concerns, action plans, and follow-up activities. Prioritize changing demands while maintaining commitments and deadlines.

Work as a Team

Collaborate with fellow FBCs and office team members to solve problems and share ideas. Step in to support teammates when needed. Share knowledge, resources, and best practices. Contribute to a positive, professional, and supportive team environment.

What Were Looking For

You may be a great fit if you: Have 2+ years of experience in customer service, account management, operations, facilities, commercial cleaning, or a related field. Enjoy working with people and building professional relationships. Have excellent customer service skills and genuinely care about finding solutions. Are comfortable having difficult conversations while remaining professional and respectful. Can think on your feet and make sound decisions in situations that dont always have a clear answer. Are highly organized and able to manage your own schedule and priorities. Follow through on commitments and dont need to be constantly reminded to complete tasks. Can work independently while also being a strong team player. Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Are comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, tablets, and other technology. Are comfortable traveling throughout your assigned territory. Have a professional appearance and demeanor. Are fluent in Spanish, both verbally and in writing (strongly preferred). Have commercial cleaning, facilities, healthcare, school, dealership, or other service-industry experience (a plus). Have experience with floor care or specialty cleaning services (a plus).

Position Requirements

Valid drivers license and reliable driving record. Ability to travel throughout the Greater Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area. Ability to work a flexible schedule when business needs require it. Ability to use a computer, laptop, tablet, and mobile phone. Ability to visit and walk through commercial facilities, including offices, medical facilities, warehouses, schools, and other customer locations. Ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

What We Offer

$47,500$52,000 base salary, commensurate with experience. Performance-based bonuses. Target first-year compensation of $50,000$58,000. Company vehicle and gas card.
