Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role located in Sioux Falls, SD. The Occupational Therapist will assess patients' functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation specialists, and families, documenting patient progress, and adjusting interventions based on clinical outcomes. The role may involve working with diverse populations across the lifespan, including pediatrics and adults, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Occupational Therapist will also participate in care team meetings, contribute to discharge planning, and educate patients and caregivers on home programs and adaptive strategies. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Occupational Therapy, including evaluation, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions. Knowledge of Medicine and Rehabilitation principles relevant to interdisciplinary care and functional recovery. Strong Communication skills for collaborating with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Experience or interest in Pediatrics and working with children and adolescents in therapeutic settings. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in South Dakota. Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining patient-centered care. Basic computer and electronic health record (EHR) proficiency; prior experience in a healthcare system is beneficial.
