Royalty Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY As a member of the Peanuts Worldwide Royalty Team, you will support the Manager of Cash Application & Royalty Management by managing royalty reporting processes, working closely with Legal, FP&A, Corporate Finance/Accounting, external auditors, international agents, and licensees. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze and validate all incoming royalty statements ensuring licensee compliance with contractual terms. Post royalty actuals and related invoices and journal entries, maintaining accurate accounting of reported royalties. Collaborate with contract analysts, commercial, and legal teams to ensure proper interpretation of contractual financial terms. Communicate with licensees and commercial team to address any unauthorized sales activity. Identify and propose resolutions for data conflicts within royalty statements. Serve as main royalty contact for licensees, meeting and communicating with partners for account reconciliations or queries. Work closely with FP&A on reporting or revenue inquiries related to licensee forecasts, estimates, etc. Review cash received and agency collection statements to address outstanding reporting and royalty record discrepancies. Ensure compliance with all corporate financial and internal control policies, including Sarbanes‑Oxley. Support sales and finance teams with reporting and analytics as needed for account reviews and proposed new deals. QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or closely related field. 2+ years of accounting and/or finance experience. Royalty accounting and licensing industry experience preferred, with focus on royalty participations and contract compliance. Experience with WestEnd or other rights management software preferred. Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.). Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
