Registered Nurse, Operating Room Inpatient Surgery (Per Diem)

Position Summary Registered Nurse – Menino Operating Room (Inpatient Surgery) Schedule: Per Diem, Rotating The Menino ORs at Boston Medical Center provide fast‑paced, high‑skill, collaborative work across many surgical specialties. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and families. Responsibilities include direct patient care, documentation, interdisciplinary communication, and adherence to the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing rules. Education Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred) Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years Licenses & Certifications Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Knowledge and Skills Previous OR experience preferred Basic computer proficiency for electronic health records Effective interpersonal and oral/written communication skills Organizational skills to prioritize and complete tasks Multilingual ability preferred Analytical ability for clinical problem solving and quality improvement projects Delegation of patient care activities Ability to manage stress in critical patient care settings Compensation & Benefits Compensation Range: $38.05 – $75.33 per hour. Pay considers education, experience, and licensure.
