Job Summary and Qualifications Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed Performs procedures and assesses patients throughout and responds to patient needs as appropriate Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed Performs all computer and PACS functions Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols Uses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures Participates in orientation and training of new staff members and instructs students during their clinical rotations Maintains thorough knowledge of the scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures Performs all other duties as assigned What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (ARRT-R) Radiography (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (MRT) Magnetic Resonance Technologist, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists, or Associate Degree must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date No Travel Required No experience Required Years of Experience Benefits Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
