Human Resources Manager

Gecko Hospitality

Human Resources Manager

Salary: $70k-$75k

Benefits: Comprehensive, market leading benefits and membership in a hotel and company culture that is UNRIVALED.

Expectations: Luxury leadership, excellence, and FUN!

This hotel treats hospitality as a craft: warm, precise, and felt in every arrival, meal, and quiet detail. The Human Resources Manager makes that standard livable for the people who deliver it. You will build a team that stays, grows, and serves with the same care the house gives its guests. When you succeed, leaders run stronger floors and guests meet a culture that feels intentional, not accidental.

Performance Objectives

  • Staff rooms, culinary, beverage, and support roles so service holds through peak nights, groups, and seasonal swings.
  • Cut regrettable turnover among strong performers by coaching leaders and closing the issues that drive exits.
  • Build a ready bench of supervisors so departments run without constant people-team intervention.
  • Run a recruiting experience that attracts hospitality talent already fluent in warmth, pace, and precision.
  • Keep scheduling, wage practices, and associate relations fair and compliant across a 201-500 person operation.
  • Raise guest-facing performance by tying training to observable service outcomes, not attendance alone.
  • Resolve employee relations matters quickly and fairly so the Team stays focused on the guest.
Essential Qualifications
  • HR leadership in a luxury hotel or comparable high-touch hospitality operation. Marriott background highly preferred.
  • A record of hiring and retaining service teams through event-driven and seasonal volume.
  • Hands-on employee relations and labor compliance across multiple departments.
  • Skill coaching department leaders, not only processing transactions.
  • A presence-written and in person-that matches a refined guest experience.
Role Selling Points
  • Shape culture where design, service, and people standards are treated as one craft.
  • Lead where Southern hospitality is the operating standard, not a slogan.
