Job Summary:

As a Scalehouse Operator, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers visiting our facility. You will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate transactions, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and supporting daily facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers, contractors, and visitors with a professional and positive attitude.
• Direct traffic safely throughout the facility and provide accurate information regarding disposal procedures and site operations.
• Process customer transactions, calculate charges, and collect payments accurately.
• Inspect incoming loads to verify compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor site activities and help maintain a safe environment for customers, drivers, and team members.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scale house and surrounding work area.
• Complete daily administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, reports, and transaction documentation.
• Communicate operational issues, safety concerns, or customer matters promptly to management.
• Participate in company training programs, safety meetings, and team development initiatives.
• Support facility operations with additional duties as assigned.

• Flexible schedule with willingness to work overtime when needed.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm

This position operates in both office and outdoor environments and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, odors, and moving equipment.

Candidates must be able to:

• Use computers and office equipment for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Perform repetitive hand and finger movements, including keyboarding and data entry.
• Occasionally lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Work safely around heavy equipment, vehicle traffic, and industrial operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
