As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate site personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be willing to receive hospital-required vaccines.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
