New York University: NYU - NY: Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development: Office of Research: Metropolitan Center for Research and Equity and the Transformation of Schools Location New York, NY Open Date Jul 06, 2026 Description The NYU Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools is seeking a part‑time Associate Research Scientist to support year 2 of the following project: "Sustainable Representation: The Implementation and Integration of K‑12 AAPI and Related Curricula in Educational Institutions". This PT Associate Research Scientist role is a grant‑funded position responsible for implementing and integrating instructional materials aligned with curricular resources developed by the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE). The individual will collaborate closely with project leadership and fellow instructors to ensure consistent implementation of curriculum, share instructional practices, and support continuous improvement throughout the project. This position requires a commitment to reflective practice, collaboration, and fidelity to the goals and objectives of the grant supported by the Asian American Foundation. The NYU Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of Schools advances equity‑focused, evidence‑based research and programming. Its specialized sub‑units provide technical assistance, professional learning, research, program evaluation, and youth development initiatives, including college readiness and youth‑led advocacy. NYU Metro Center has extensive experience addressing educational inequity, segregation, disproportionality, discrimination, and social injustice. This position is expected to be hybrid. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Qualifications Required Education A Master’s degree in Education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Required Experience Experience implementing K–12 instructional curricula in classroom or educational settings. Experience facilitating instruction aligned with state or district learning standards. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of evidence‑based instructional practices and curriculum implementation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
