Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule

Day shift, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed).

Job Description

The Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, working with a diverse patient population, including newborns, children, adults, and geriatrics. Nurses will assess and manage patients with various conditions ranging from stroke and sepsis to trauma and cardiac issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate patient care within the Emergency Department.
• Provide care to patients across all age groups, including critical and emergency situations.
• Work collaboratively with the medical team to assess and implement patient treatment plans.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun as needed.
• Participate in float assignments within the unit as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with pediatric experience preferred.
• Current RN license in New York and all necessary nursing licenses should be active and verified.
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be completed prior to submission).
• Documentation of travel experience is required.
• Two recent references from ED Charge/Manager RNs.
• EMR experience with EPIC is required.
