Assignment Overview

Join a dynamic Acute Care unit specializing in medical diagnoses, accommodating a wide range of patient needs including GI bleeds, sepsis, and COVID-19. Ideal candidates will have proficiency in managing a set nurse-to-patient ratio and experience with titrating drips, specifically Heparin, in a high-paced environment.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: Not provided
• Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p and 7p-7a
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotated holidays
• Floating Requirements: Float as needed to med/surg-like units
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Assignment Length: Not provided

Responsibilities

• Titrate Heparin drips
• Administer patient care while adhering to nurse-patient ratios
• Coordinate with a Crisis RN and an administrative supervisor available 24/7
• Perform IV starts and utilize the phlebotomy team for blood draws

Qualifications

Required:

• Active IL RN license or initiated application
• BLS Certification
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Experience in an acute care setting
