Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The position involves operating CNC, Single or Multi Spindles, or Swiss machines in a job shop environment. You will be responsible for performing tool changes, sharpening and grinding, machine set-ups, and adjustments. Training will be provided to operate 2-3 machines at a time, ensuring precise measurements using tools such as micrometers and calipers, and working off blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines in a job shop environment, including CNC and manual-spindle machines.
• Perform tool changes, sharpening, and grinding.
• Conduct machine set-ups and make necessary adjustments.
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to maintain tolerances.
• Work off blueprints.
• Maintain all fluid levels and keep the machine and work area clean.
• Pay close attention to details and perform basic machine repairs.

• 2+ years of CNC experience (Lathe or Mills preferred) or similar machine operations experience.
• Blueprint reading.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment: Micrometers and Calipers.
• Shop math skills.
• Basic hand and power tools usage.

• Experience with machine set-ups and tool changes.
• Experience with ACME, Multi-Spindle, Single Spindle, and Shutte CNC machines.
• Programming skills.
• Fanuc systems knowledge.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, climate-controlled facility with air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. The facility is 800,000 sq ft and offers a smoke shack for breaks. Employees can chew tobacco and eat at their workstations. The position is for the 1st shift from 7am to 3pm, with minimal overtime. Enjoy two paid 10-minute breaks during your shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Massillon, OH.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $23.55/hr.
