Regional STI Nurse Supervisor, Bureau of Public Health Clinics Full-time Agency: DEPT OF HEALTH/MENTAL HYGIENE Job Category: Health Salary Band: $90,000 to $100,000 Compensation: USD 66,067 - USD 100,000 The Bureau of Public Health Clinics (BPHC) promotes a healthy community by providing New Yorkers with the resources needed to make informed and empowered health decisions; identify and treat tuberculosis; and provide immunization and sexual health services regardless of ability to pay or immigration status. BPHC oversees medical services and clinical operations of eight Sexual Health Clinics, nine COVID Express Testing Clinics, three COVID Vaccine Operation Clinics, and four Tuberculosis Chest Clinics. The BPHC’s mission is to deliver high‑quality clinical care that best serves New Yorkers. Responsibilities Supervise STI nursing staff. Oversee the administration of the nursing program. Implement new policies, procedures, and programs. Train nurses on evidence‑based interventions and conduct quality assurance/improvement of the nursing program. Additional Information Must follow all safety, security, Blood‑borne pathogen exposure, infection control, and hazardous materials policies and procedures to assure a safe environment for staff and students. This includes using personal protective wear, good hand hygiene, and adhering to sharps safety procedures. Qualifications Valid New York state license as a Registered Nurse; baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited college and a master’s degree in Nursing, Public Health or a related field, plus four years of recent experience in public health or hospital nursing or a related field; at least 18 months of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, executive, consultative or educational capacity, or in supervision of professional public health nursing personnel working in any of the above mentioned areas. Education and/or experience equivalent to “1” above. However, all candidates must possess a valid New York State license as a Registered Nurse, a baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited college, and 18 months of specialized experience as described in “1” above.
