Port Townsend School District #50 Position: Head Boys Tennis Coach (Part-Time) Responsibilities Demonstrate the philosophy of a competitive, purpose-based athletics program, teaching sportsmanship, good character, and supporting social and emotional growth. Teach the basic skills, rules, dress code, and principles of tennis. Implement and supervise safety guidelines for the sport. Provide guidance to assistant and volunteer coaches, engaging them in program development. Facilitate the establishment of team and individual goals. Maintain discipline in line with school policy. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with teams, community, and district staff. Communicate expectations and updates to parents/guardians as needed through the season. Maintain WIAA coaching certification and a current first aid/CPR card, or be willing to obtain it. Conduct fundraising and manage cash within district guidelines. Adhere to the Coaches Handbook guidelines and expectations. Qualifications Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
