As our Custom Spirits & Gifting Sales Manager , you’ll help businesses, organizations, and individuals create custom-labeled spirits and gifting packages for client gifts, company celebrations, events, holidays, and special occasions. You’ll prospect for new business, build relationships, uncover what the customer needs, develop the right solution, and close the deal.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 

• Target new and repeat clients through proactive prospecting, including cold calls, email outreach, networking, referrals, and in-person visits, to meet or exceed all sales objectives and established Scorecard metrics.
• Identify opportunities with corporations, small businesses, nonprofits, event planners, hospitality partners, and other organizations for custom-labeled spirits, client appreciation gifts, employee recognition programs, holiday gifting, and branded gift packages.
• Consult with prospective clients to understand their objectives, budget, timeline, branding requirements, and gifting needs while positioning Journeyman as the preferred partner for premium custom gifting experiences.
• Develop tailored proposals and gifting solutions by combining custom-labeled spirits, merchandise, gift packaging, gift cards, tours, and other Journeyman offerings to maximize value for the customer.
• Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Design, Production, Retail, Hospitality, and Fulfillment teams to ensure feasibility, production timelines, inventory availability, and successful order execution.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Journeyman's spirits portfolio, merchandise offerings, packaging options, customization capabilities, pricing, and production lead times.
• Coordinate with internal design resources to facilitate custom label development and ensure client approvals are obtained according to project timelines.
• Ensure timely execution of proposals, contracts, deposits, artwork approvals, and payment collection while maintaining accurate documentation throughout the sales process.
• Provide a seamless transition from sale to fulfillment by communicating all project specifications, delivery requirements, and customer expectations to the appropriate internal teams.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the design, production, and fulfillment process to provide updates, answer questions, and ensure an outstanding customer experience.
• Conduct post-delivery follow-up to gather feedback, identify additional sales opportunities, and cultivate long-term client relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incoming inquiries from prospective clients, existing customers, coworkers, management, and ownership.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, pipeline status, and project updates within the company's CRM and sales management systems.
• Build strategic partnerships with local businesses, chambers of commerce, corporate organizations, marketing agencies, and community organizations to generate new business opportunities.
• Prospect for new business through active networking, business development events, trade shows, community engagement, and industry-related functions.
• Continuously identify opportunities to expand corporate gifting programs, seasonal promotions, and recurring client partnerships that drive sustainable revenue growth.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 0–2 years of experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, or a related field
• Demonstrated interest in sales, hospitality, or relationship-driven work
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and in-person presence)
• High level of comfort initiating conversations with new people (phone, email, in-person)
